Experience & Education
Education and Early Career
Tom was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey. After graduating from high school, he headed west to attend the University of Dayton in Ohio, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Before attending law school, Tom gained valuable legal experience as a paralegal with large corporate law firms in New York and Boston. That early exposure to the legal profession helped shape his interest in advocacy and the practice of law. Tom later attended the University of Denver College of Law, drawn in part by its respected Student Law Office program. During the summer after his first year, he participated in the program and gained practical, real-world courtroom experience. That experience helped develop his passion for litigation and confirmed his commitment to becoming a trial lawyer. After graduating from law school in 1992, Tom chose to begin his legal career in Colorado. With its strong legal community, family and personal connections, and exceptional quality of life, Colorado became the place where he built his career and continues to serve his clients today.
